UPDATE FROM THE LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Local Emergency Management Committee, comprising State agencies, NGOs, and Central Darling Shire Council meet daily to ensure services to COVID affected areas are coordinated and able to meet immediate needs.
TESTING CLINIC
The Wilcannia testing clinic has been relocated to the Wilcannia Swimming Pool complex in Reid Street. Clinic hours are from 10am to 2pm daily, with home testing being undertaken between 2pm and 4pm for residents requiring a Day 5 or Day 12 test. If you need a home test, you can call the dedicated COVID Testing Team on 0477 995 809.
VACCINATION CLINIC
The RFDS Vaccination Clinic will be operating from Tuesday until Friday this week. Hours will be 10am to 3pm each day. The clinic is able to provide first and second jabs. Please speak with staff at the clinic if you are unsure of your vaccination schedule.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Motorhomes for community support accommodation arrived in Wilcannia over the weekend and are currently being prepared for residents who require assistance with isolation. The motorhomes are fully equipped and residents will be provided with a meal delivery service.
NSW Health has established a COVID Community Response Team to ensure the continual monitoring and evaluation of isolated patients to provide a safe and timely coordinated health and welfare response.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT HUB
The Emergency Management Hub is preparing to take its first intake of front line and support workers. The Hub has been set up at the Wilcannia Oval and is designed to house and assist staff from a variety of agencies who are assisting with support and recovery work.
