UPDATE FROM THE LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Local Emergency Management Committee is now moving into the recovery phase of its operation. The recovery response will be working with government and non-government agencies, service providers, Central Darling Shire Council and the community.
TESTING
Continued testing is vital to the ongoing management of COVID in all our communities. The community is encouraged to get tested if they display even minor symptoms of COVID, which includes sore throat, runny nose, or a cough. Testing will continue to be available in all Central Darling Shire towns.
Testing clinics are available at
Wilcannia – Swimming Pool complex between 10am to 2pm. Home visits for Day 5 and Day 12 testing are being conducted between 2pm and 4pm
Menindee – Menindee Oval between 10am to 4pm
White Cliffs – White Cliffs Sportsground 10am and 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Ivanhoe – Ivanhoe Sportsground between 10am and 2pm
VACCINATION CLINICS
The Wilcannia Vaccination Clinic continues this week, between 10am and 3pm. Residents in other areas who would like information on the next vaccination clinic in their town should contact their local health service.
FOOD SHED OPERATIONS
Food supply into Wilcannia and to households needing support is secure thanks to the ongoing support of partner agencies.
With support services in place, the community led food shed operations is now able to be scaled back to five days a week. Orders will be taken Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 3pm with deliveries made after 3pm.
